New Westminster Professional Security You Can Rely On
New Westminster is one of the oldest cities in British Columbia, and that history shows directly in its security workload. The city carries a dense stock of heritage and early-twentieth-century buildings, many now under renovation or conversion, which generates an unusually high volume of fire watch work — older buildings routinely have sprinkler and alarm systems taken offline during upgrades, and the fire department and insurers require continuous documented patrol while they are impaired.
Alongside that, the city is compact and genuinely mixed-use. Royal Columbian Hospital and the Sapperton health precinct operate around the clock. Douglas College and the Uptown commercial district draw daytime volume. The Quay and riverfront carry hospitality and tourism traffic. Queensborough, across the arm on Lulu Island, is a separate industrial and retail environment altogether.
New Westminster's high-density residential growth along the Columbia Street and Brewery District corridors has also created steady demand for concierge and parkade coverage. All officers we deploy hold valid BC Security Worker Licences and file timestamped, photo-documented reports.

Security Built Around New Westminster's Industries
New Westminster is compact, historic and mixed-use. These are the four sectors we are deployed into most.
Heritage Buildings & Fire Watch
The city's older building stock means impaired sprinkler and alarm systems are a recurring reality during renovation and conversion work. We provide continuous fire watch with documented timed rounds, maintain the written compliance log New Westminster Fire & Rescue and insurers require, and can mobilise quickly when a system fails unexpectedly.
Healthcare, Institutional & Campus
The Sapperton health precinct and Douglas College generate 24-hour activity and the access-control, parking and after-hours patrol needs that follow. We provide uniformed presence, controlled access, parkade and lot patrols, and incident documentation suitable for institutional reporting standards.
Concierge, Strata & Residential Towers
The Brewery District, Columbia Street and Victoria Hill developments have added significant tower stock. Our officers handle fob and visitor access, parkade sweeps for vehicle break-ins, noise and bylaw incidents, and the documented record strata councils need.
Riverfront Commercial, Retail & Queensborough
The Quay, Columbia Street retail and the Queensborough commercial and industrial area carry shrink, trespass and overnight break-in pressure. We provide loss prevention officers, uniformed deterrence, yard patrols and randomized overnight coverage.

Response & Coverage in New Westminster
New Westminster sits at the geographic centre of Metro Vancouver with direct SkyTrain and highway access, which keeps overnight patrol coverage and alarm response times consistent across the city.
We can usually mobilise fire watch coverage same-day, which matters here — heritage renovation projects frequently discover an impaired system with little notice and need documented patrol in place before the building can stay occupied.
Dispatch is staffed 24/7 at +1 (236) 867-3519, with officers available in English and Punjabi.

Security Services in New Westminster — Common Questions
Do you provide fire watch security in New Westminster?
Yes, and it is one of our most-requested services here given the city's heritage building stock. When a sprinkler or fire alarm system is impaired during renovation or after a fault, we provide continuous documented timed-round patrols and maintain the written log that New Westminster Fire & Rescue Services and your insurer will require.
How quickly can you start fire watch in New Westminster?
In most cases same-day. Impaired fire systems are usually discovered with little warning, and a building often cannot remain occupied without documented watch in place, so we treat these as urgent. Call dispatch directly at 236-867-3519 rather than using the web form.
How much do security guards cost in New Westminster?
Rates depend on post type, shift length and officer count — fire watch, concierge coverage and construction security are all priced differently. We provide a free assessment and a firm quote rather than a generic hourly figure.
Are your New Westminster guards licensed and insured?
Yes. Every officer holds a valid BC Security Worker Licence issued under the Security Services Act, and Zampa Security Services Ltd. carries full commercial liability insurance. Licence verification and certificates of insurance are available on request.
Do you provide concierge security for New Westminster strata buildings?
Yes. We cover towers in the Brewery District, Quayside, Columbia Street and Victoria Hill areas with lobby and fob access control, visitor management, parkade sweeps, bylaw and noise incident handling, and documented after-hours response for strata councils.
